Maine Mountain Power is a joint venture of Endless Energy Company (EEC) in Yarmouth, Maine and the California-based
Edison Mission Group (EMG).
Edison Mission Group is a subsidiary of Rosemead, California-based Edison International (NYSE: EIX,) an electric power generator and distributor, and an investor in infrastructure and renewable energy projects with assets totaling $35 billion. EMG invested in its first wind energy project in 1998. To date, EMG has acquired a portfolio of 316 megawatts of wind energy at nine projects in Iowa, Minnesota and New Mexico. According to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), EMG currently ranks as the 5th largest owner of wind generation in the United States.
After permitting and construction is completed, EMG will own and operate the Redington Wind Farm with all power generated being sold under a long term contract to Constellation New Energy.
EEC is a Maine-based wind energy company established in 1987. EEC was the first wind energy company in the U.S. to
win a competitive bid with a utility, having demonstrated the competitiveness of wind generated power.
